About Wensleydale House

Outside

Wensleydale house is a commanding stone terraced house with large bay windows which face south across Wensleydale.
The front of the house has an ornamental style garden with seats, potted plants, a small lawn, flowerbeds, rockeries, shrubs and trees. N.B. Although the house is set well back away from the road (60 ft), traffic noise can sometimes be heard whilst sitting in the garden. This is less noticeable in the evening.

The back of the house has car-parking for four cars and a very small shaded area with potted plants and a seat.

Inside

We’ve tried to make the interiors feel homely and inviting with lots of original paintings, prints, wall hangings, mirrors, cushions, beautiful fabrics, rugs (from Persian to locally made rag-rugs) against a backdrop of period colours.

Ground floor

Modern, well-equipped kitchen with range cooker, microwave, washer/ dryer and dishwasher (Although with all the irresistible eating places nearby, you may want to eat out).

Majestic living room with dining area; the perfect place to relax after a hearty hike.

Family bedroom with four poster double and single bed. Stunning views.

Double bedroom with four poster king-size bed and en-suite (bath with shower over, basin and WC).

Family / childrens bedroom with adult bunk, single bed and small toy den. More stunning views.
